The director said that after you defeat him you can use his Drunken Sword as a primary weapon.[2]

How do you stop Hua Qianxiao from getting drunk?

Previews report that hitting him can 'wake him up' and reset his drunk level, which creates a damage window. He can still force a drink behind an invulnerable shield. Treat that as preview behaviour until we confirm it in the launch build.[2][1]
