Phantom Blade Zero Early Bosses: Can Gang to Zhui Ming

A quick reference to three encounters in the October press build, with their reported rewards and a practical preparation plan. Contains early boss and equipment spoilers; it is not a verified retail boss order.

Evidence checked 2026-10-27. Based on official statements and named media play sessions; this site has not played the retail build. Practice plans and comparison checklists are editorial recommendations.

Can Gang: what is the first lesson?

A9VG describes readable opening movements and reports the Can Gang blade as the reward. Both A9VG and Youyi describe its bleeding-oriented weapon effect. Our practice suggestion is to learn one opening and its recovery before extending your punish; the preview is not a frame-data chart.[1][2]

Peng Meng: what changes after this fight?

A9VG reports broad, heavy attacks and the Dread Axe reward. 4Gamers separately describes that axe as an exploration tool. Our recommendation is to inspect the new item’s description and review blocked routes, rather than assuming the reward is only a damage upgrade.[1][3]

Zhui Ming: how should you prepare?

A9VG separates the wagon introduction from a later two-phase encounter, describing fast approaches and ranged pressure. A9VG and Youyi report the chain-sickle reward. Our practice plan is to identify the approach and the end of its follow-up first; an apparent disengagement is not automatically a safe attack window.[1][2]

What is still missing from these boss notes?

Exact health, frame windows, final difficulty differences and complete reward conditions have not been tested here. For a failed attempt, use the cue guide to distinguish a wrong defensive reaction from poor resource timing. The linked individual dossiers cover the other bosses already on this site.
