Which difficulty should a new player choose?
S-GAME positions Wayfarer for following the story and Hellwalker for more demanding, adaptive opposition. Pathbreaker sits between them in the published difficulty lineup. The recommendation below is editorial guidance, not a promise that a mode will feel easy.[1][2]
- Wayfarer / 入阵者: start here if learning the controls or seeing the story matters most.
- Pathbreaker / 破局者: a starting point if you want to learn the standard combat loop.
- Hellwalker / 逆天者: consider it when reading attack patterns is the challenge you want.
Can difficulty be changed, and do achievements require hard mode?
A9VG and 4Gamers report switching among the ordinary difficulties during play; 4Gamers also reports no achievement penalty. Apply that statement to the ordinary modes they describe. Do not infer that entering or leaving Sixty-Six Days preserves the same run or progress.[3][2]
Which helper features are officially listed?
The PS5 page lists subtitles, individual volume controls, control and tutorial reminders, pausing and manual saves. Check those controls before assuming a small cue or missing instruction is something you must tolerate. This confirms the PS5 listing, not identical menus on every platform.[4]
Is Sixty-Six Days just another first-run preset?
No. The director places it in New Game Plus with a limited death allowance. Use the dedicated mode guide for its separate-save and evidence-conflict notes. Do not apply a general manual-save feature description as a way around that challenge.[5]
